Sports and Spinal Specialist
Graduating from Manchester University as a Physiotherapist in 2003, Clare began her career in Gloucestershire and Warwickshire hospitals before moving into private practice in 2008. She spent the Winter of 2010 treating elite skiers and snowboarders in Verbier, Switzerland, for The Verbier Touch, providing sports and deep tissue massage to clients in order to aid their speedy return to the slopes.
Specialising in sports injuries has featured throughout Clare’s career, with clients including Coventry City Football Club and the Georgian National Rugby Team, with whom she travelled during the European Nations Cup and more recently at the London 7’s, Twickenham.
Her work with these teams varied from immediate pitch side diagnosis and treatment through to advanced functional rehabilitation in the gym. Leading on from this work, Clare supported and treated the Cortium Polo team as they went on to win the Gold Cup at Cowdray in Spring 2012.
In the lead up to the Olympic Games, Clare worked closely with Team GB’s Nick Skelton, who went on to win Olympic Gold in Showjumping.
Clare has extensive training and expertise in many areas of physiotherapy, including trauma and orthopaedics; neurology; neuromusculoskeletal outpatients and intensive care.
